Google Apps for Education (GAFE) is a free version of the Google Apps suite which typically costs business users $60 per user per year which is offered to schools and non profit organizations. The tool provides a free-cloud based email solution along with powerful collaborative tools for creating documents, websites, and more. The service is CIPA compliant, and can be used for staff and/or students. This presentation walked through the basic tools available with GAFE, how to submit an application for your school, and the basics of how to get it setup with your domain.
