About the Webinar:

Florida defines gifted students as students who have superior intellectual development and are capable of high performance. While charter schools are required to address their plans for gifted education in their charter application, many schools find that actually implementing an effective gifted program can be complicated. Join us for this webinar presented by the a DOE Gifted Education Specialist Kathleen Casper where we will discuss the requirements for gifted education in Florida and some best practices that charter schools may wish to consider in developing and implementing their program for gifted students, ranging from identification, evaluation, developing an EP, and providing instructional support within the school.
