Builing Hope was founded in 2003 initially to provide support to high-quality charter schools. Specifically, the organization set out to tackle one of the key barriers to charter school growth: identifying and financing viable facilities so that all students have access to a quality K-12 education. Over the years the organization has grown and has for years provided free technical assistance to schools who are weighing their options for growth and expansion.
In the fall of 2018 Building Hope was awarded a Charter Schools Program grant from the Federal Department of Education to expand our Charter Support Unit services to Wahington DC. Through this grant opportunity, we plan to become the essential resource for operational and facilities needs for charter schools throughout the district.
