NSI: Policy Manual and Employee Handbook

This week’s meeting will focus on policies. We define policies as the Governing Board’s written directions to the school’s staff about how the organization is to be run. Policies both provide a guide for staff and also protect your organization. We will look at the CSU sample policy manual and some of the essential policies you should have as an organization. We also recommend that part of your policy manual will become your employee handbook, but we will discuss some tips if you decide to have a separate manual for your staff.
