About the Webinar:

Public Records Requests have been on the rise for charter schools, and lawsuits for those who do not properly respond to such requests are a reality for charters throughout Florida. The public records statute was recently changed to require that if someone plans to sue over a public records request, they must provide 5-days notice before filing the lawsuit if the school has properly posted who their “custodian of public records” is. This simple posting could save Charter Schools thousands of dollars and many headaches. Join us for a presentation about this new change and public records laws in general presented by attorney Shawn Arnold of the Arnold Law Firm who is Board Certified in Education Law and is counsel to more than 100 charter schools in Florida.
